Artist Background

Ellen Christensen is a designer and artist who grew up in the unincorporated areas of Richmond. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is currently a practicing graphic designer and an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design at San Francisco State University. She currently lives in the Marina Bay area of Richmond where you can find her biking, gardening, or sunbathing.
